I don't think one ever has, Trowse Bridge would have been a problem in the old days

Someone wanted pictures, here's a couple from a not very inspiring day at Manea and leaving March 20 min late near Three Horse Shoes.

Agree about steam at night and that's a good noise free shot, what camera were you using at what ISO setting? Whatever it is its impressive.

Hi John. I purchased a fabulous Nikon D750 back in September and I have to say everything that has been said about the camera in the photography magazines is true. The ISO for this shot and also the night time shot I took of the Duchess through Newark station back in October https://www.flickr.com/photos/10257146@N05/22024085123/in/dateposted-public/ ... were shot at ISO 5000. I also used a Nikon 35mm f/2 lens on both images and to reduce some of the image noise ran the shot through the superb Nik Collection Software - Define2.
Thanks for your kind comment and interest in the shot always good to get feedback.
    Kind regards,Simon

Thanks for the info I've got a D800 and agree with what you say about the current Nikon range. The only advantage I have over the D750 is, with 36m pixels I can crop like mad if necessary. I must reprocess some of my night shots, I used photoshop noise reduction which I'm not impressed with and now use Neatimage as a plugin to PS CS6.

That is most kind of you to say so 26D_M. My D750 came from the London Camera Exchange on the High St in Lincoln which I would recommend to anyone looking for camera equipment. Good to shop local and also on the high st and the price was good also.

The D800 is also a fabulous piece of kit and agree with your comments about the current Nikon range. It was between the 750 & 800 last September but I really didn't need the extra pixels and the reviews for the 750 were all very good and still are in the current mags. I had been using the Noiseware CE to reduce image noise prior to the Nik Collection software that I now use.

Thank you Ralph for your comment that is most kind of you. It was a superb sight to see the Duchess powering through the station,I'm certainly enjoying the D750 it is far exceeding my expectations . Best wishes Simon.
