M. I. 5 could take lessons from this thread, subterfuge amid secrecy, stock heading in wrong direction with false headcodes. Pax will probably arrive for a 7.47 a.m departure to find it 'went last night'!!!!

I for one ( a lifelong lover of steam) have gone past caring......

 

A few years ago I was at York awaiting the arrival of the Duchess on a 'Day's Out' charter and enquired with a station manager which platform it would arrive at. He had a trainee executive with him, told me p10, the junior added, yes as far away as possible, dirty smelly annoying pests. That may be what we are up against.

 

17 late off NRM.

 

But already picked up 16 minutes between the NRM and York Station. Spirited running ...

VT regularly run the few yards between Tyseley Steam Trust and Small Heath South Jcn at warp factor 5 too, one of the timing curiousity's where plenty of slack is given but rarely required.

 

at NRM today Alycidon in Blue extraordinarily bright clean and shiny - would be nice for the trip south ....

Just wondering, remembering the trespass problems that happened on Tornados first ECML run whether the actual timings are being witheld on RTT and OTT to avoid the same sort of problems, especially considering how popular Scotsman is.

Am I right in thinking that timings for the Royal train are also witheld from public view?
