Network Rail still does have 'food allowance arrangements' for 'box cats in manual signal boxes.

Another shot from today of testing in progress. Not quite there yet but no significant obstacles in the way of it being ready for the weekend, I understand.

7F + 7F = 14F. Taken on the second day of Don Bishop's photo charters with the two S&DJR 7F 2-8-0s. Many more images from the charters can now be viewed at my Zenfolio website at: - http://mickrogers.zenfolio.com/p48738784

Many thanks to Don and the train crews for some excellent photography.

    Cheers,

Is that the one that's been around for a few years or the latest one on http://www.railcam.uk/ ? You need to register to use it and the dozens of other railway cameras throughout the country, but it gives a good view down the platform as well as the bay sidings.

Did Alan Dorrington get paid for having his beard trimmed?:)

  16. The railcam.uk webcam is now on the Minehead webcam page on www.wsr.org.uk thanks to the excellent technical support from railcam.uk along with their (and FoWSR's) permission to re-use the stream. Big thanks also due to Steve S at Minehead. Find it under "Pictures" on the top menu bar.

There is no need to register to view the imagery on www.wsr.org.uk but why not register anyway as railcam.uk have a good selection of webcams around the country.

With trimmed beard and hair, he's not going to get so many screen appearances as a down-and-out!

A big thank you to the DEPG for providing the Hymek. I didn't know that it required the equivalent of a warming fire before being started. There's a gizmo in the engine room that warms the cooling system to about 80 degrees C before the engine is fired up so thermal shock is reduced.

Every day is a day in the classroom.
