    I've just seen some photos of 85 recently lined out - so much better than its previous unlined black, looks a different loco!

    Quite agree: smashing shot by Gary Holmes on the KWVR website, in all its glory. Brings back memories of seeing sister TVR tank restored for GWR150, which I saw running at Tyseley in June 85. Paul

    That brings back memories. Putting the other exhibits away from round the turntable where we'd been sat in light steam all day was by far the heaviest load I ever pulled with her.

    Much better choice of colours than the rather coarse looking BR lining to my way of thinking. Thank goodness the GWR sold them all off and they never got to BR...

    85's lining looks more delicate than that which was applied to 28 (based on a post WW1 drawing) . I think 85's is more correct.
