Does anyone on here have any experience of rivetting together and fitting to the frames a GWR tender dragbox? By all accounts it is rather awkward! Any experience that could be passed on would be most useful!

Also, does anyone have a drawing for a blower ring for a No.14/Manor boiler?

    Cheers, Mike

Cheers Paul, We have a new blower ring, but now having got to the point of needing to machine it it has been noticed that we don't have the required drawing in our collection to do so, typical! Looks like a call to the SVR may be in order on Monday as it would seem they may well have a drawing, Cheers, Mike

And as for your drag box, the Severn Valley allong with the 2857 society have certainly done this at some poing, give em a try.

With the dragbox, it helps if you have an angled snap, which can get into the corners more easily. We acquired one for doing the tanks on 7202, not sure where it came from though. I could always ask if you want?

The Pendennis Castle group had to completely redo their dragbox - they have working parties every other week, so you could give them a try if you wish.
