It was called Branchline Railway and was a BBC production. Checked on youtube and looks like it comes in 3 parts

Here you go, sorry for the delay, been searching my extensive collection of photos I've taken of Short-eared Owls to find one sleeping. Got one too! Sleeping in the warm weather position. Now in the draft book.

The link. I get them the easy way by going to UK steam.info when the times are released. The train reporting numbers show as a link at the top of the times that David shows.

    http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/U59873/2016/04/02/advanced

Below is the uksteam.info link I use. It gives the current week. When the times are known the "Times" at the top of each tour, next to the tour name magically goes live and you can click that to get the train reporting number.

Can I ask the significance of 'M8Y' and 'Matey'? To the uninitiated like myself they don't seem to be a positive addition?

Others will know better than me, but there was a post here earlier that brought this issue up. It may have been removed now.

Those headboards are a tribute to someone I believe was a long term volunteer/worker in the steam scene.

    Thanks for the explanation.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, other railway matters kept me away from seeing / photographing the train today which I would have liked to do. I can understand and appreciate the sentiment, but I am not sure that had I traveled some way to see / photograph the train, and without knowing the explanation, I would have been delighted.

Come on KentYeti, there's a fair few of us on here that know full well that when you finally get back onto a steam hauled train, especially one hauled out of Waterloo, that you will be like that little boy in the sweet shop.

I think it's about time you "manned up" and went for it, as your comments today on the outward run show you still have the bug and shouldn't be worried by that lightening strike and loud clap. This run today would have been "near on" perfect for you, minus the MN on the front obviously! ;)

BTW, nice touch from the A1 Trust with their tribute to Ray Towell.

You could well both be right, the bug is still there! Even though I am very engrossed with my Owl book and the associated field work at present.

It won't hurt Herr Yeti. I've even travelled behind GWR locos without suffering any lasting ill effects. :)

Here’s my video, taken near Seaton Junction on the outward run and at Pugham Farm, near Tiverton Parkway, on the return.
