    Update

The crossing surface is finished, the gates are back on and all ready to go...
Hats off to the gang for a professional job in a tight timescale
Sorry no pics yet but there is one on the official FB page

The crossing job was the last major one for the extension, a lot of smaller jobs left but we are working through them

In other news the railway's TSO is due out of the shed after a 6 month refit, next in the DMU car.

    Regards

    Matt

Out of interest is there the ability to pass at this station? If not where will the passing sections be on the line? Cheers Gav.

    Hi Gav106

At the moment the loop isn't signalled to allow trains to pass, we could park a non-passenger/ECS in the loop with a service train going the other way. For conventional passing of trains, we would have to upgrade part of the loop and signal accordingly. We might look at this once the extension is open, depending on demand etc.

    Regards

    Matt

Well done , this looks good. Heading your way later this month and it shouldn't be too difficult to persuade my wife to take a ride. To assist me in my persuasive mission, can anyone please recommend a nice pub that does food?

    Hi John

Try the Holybrook in Bronwydd, same village as the railway but about a mile up the road.

    Update

The TSO has now emerged from the shed in southern green (dining train livery), the DMU car has now taken its place for some work.

On the extension more rail replacement is underway and the crossing has had white lines added.

Other work on the extension is planned shortly, we are hoping to open this year with a good wind, no definite dates yet though!

    Regards

    Matt

    Evening all,

Some good news, we have been awarded a grant towards the cost of an engine shed and therefore with the match funding raised, we should be in a position to commence work on this project shortly. A very welcome development!

Excellent News ! Any ideas of where it's going to go ? (im guessing Bronwydd Arms) or what kind of structure it will be ? Just need to have 5542 for next season to top it off now ;)
