Some (poor quality) pictures of Ponsticill Station from 1974, a few years before construction started on the Brecon Mountain Railway. Hopefully of some historical interest.

The B&MR was covered in an article in Steam Days June 2004. Your photos make an interesting addition. I travelled on the Brecon Mountain Railway a few years ago - Torpantau was "interesting" as the weather had closed down.

It had for me too - the wind at Torpantau was extraordinary, so strong, I've rarely experienced anything like it. It hurt my ears!
But a very interesting line to travel on, I went there because I heard that the Baldwin was loud, and it was :)

Nice shots. It was one of the few places where it was possible for rain to go UP your trouser leg!
