Thanks Robin. The timetable says 34070 is out and about, but I'm not particularly fussed about what's on the steam diagram - 34070 would be my ideal loco tomorrow but the U, M7 or the Standard would do me fine.

There was a grand finale to the open day at St. Philips Marsh today when a convoy of locomotives headed from SPM to Swanage for their diesel gala.

The train consisted of 66.757 'West Somerset Rly', D213 'Andania', class 46 D182, 50.035 and class 31 D5580.

Very nice train, very nice weather. <BJ>

 

Warship ontop of manston tomorrow would look ok not sure it would look as authentic 832 ontop of the u etc

 

We have a train of diesel locos bearing down on the Railway but they are not due to pass aware ham until 2011 or Seanage until 2053 when we will be losing the light but I'll get you a snap if I can.....

There was a change of 66 on the 0Z48 convoy during the layover at Eastleigh this afternoon
66757 taken off and 66748 in immaculate condition added.

Facing Swanage [edited -brain fart after a busy day!] I'm afraid; I will try to find time to turn it in the morning so that the double-header with D832 looks a little better, but with other things going on in the morning I can't guarantee it. The plan was very much to use 34070, but delivery of replacement parts arising from its recent washout was not possible in time to permit its use.

 

No problem you can't help that, thanks for trying to make the double header with 832 look a little better too, what ever happens happens.
