Absolutely. I would expect it to be there for the purpose of heating the train only. DBC crews will ask for assistance if they need it, which isn't very often!! From recent vids of West Coast trips, I am impressed with them too. Never have I seen so many tours up north where the diesel doesn't appear to be doing any pushing at all!! Happy Days! Come on Argyle!!

    At Clapham plat 17.
(Already heard police called over the tannoy to plat 17)

Arrived with a lot of whistling and black smoke. Fans about on the platform. Looks like a good jolly. Maybe the start of an annual outing ?

Coaches look spotless, think the right impression is being met.

    And west Croydon.

Clapham was quite full so I guess everyone's getting on there

Below is my short video from Milford this morning. Unfortunately it appeared she was being followed by a bloody helicopter :Rage:
She was absolutely flying along though (diesel assistance? I can't tell with 67's) and was running very early at Milford:

Hopefully pictures to follow as I haven't looked through them yet.

A fine sight at the Haslemere water stop. I do hope Mr Hosking will be investing in a generator car(or maybe DBC can borrow one)so the 67 on the back can be dispensed with in future(unless required for operational reasons).

Here is my best photo from Milford as 34052 charges up the grade to the Station: milford 3.JPG

Great to see 34046/34052 back in the South.

Yes, the helicopter got in the act a touch at Buriton, but the sound of the Bullied overwhelmed it and a cracking blast on the whistle too. Hopefully it doesn't follow it on the return.

I think Match of the Day are doing a feature on it so could be a BBC helicopter. Where were you at Buriton? The footpath crossing I was going to use is closed so ended up on the road bridge

Yes, I approached it from the other side and it was open. The whistle boards were still in place. Apparently they closed it because it was a danger to children.

And here it is at Horsley. Being local I beat Liam to the prime spot. ;)

I hope the return journey cheers up the fans and the players after Palace lost 1-4 to Southampton!

Anyone know which Platform it's likely to use at Guildford?

Surely it is the teak coaching stock which provides the real innovation!

Should have been at the Croydon end of the station, she was working ok there until she shut off half way down the platform.

I love the way you managed to get the spitfire in as well, just up there in the trees.
