I assume this means the plan to put Eddystones boiler to save time and money on Sidmouth is now dead if they are doing both locos at the same time.

Anyone able to confirm that both are now at Crewe and tucked away in the former Diesel depot. 35022 was seen arriving on a lorry a few weeks ago but another report at the same time suggested both were actually seen leaving on a lorries from the diesel depot. All very confusing!

I assume there is no news regarding 35018, is she still pencilled in for some work later this year which if so would suggest that her arrival is imminent?

34067 was pencilled in for railtours for several years before it was completed if I remember correctly.

It was oringally mentioned for the Cathex to Cornwell in September, but I can find no mention on the SD website. It was stated in the latest SR, that it is planned to haul the 4 day Devon Belle trip planned for July 2017.

RTC have been advertising trips with 35018 for at least 2 years. As with previous Carnforth overhauls, believe nothing until someone spots her in steam in the yard, and maybe not even then...

Be fair. Now that 46100 is actually running and no long needs the RTC fiction writers to anticipate its return, there has to be a replacement and BIL is the one.

I am sure you've all seen this video on YouTube over the years feature Southern Steam and the early days of the Bulleid Pacifics but does anyone know where the original footage was sourced from?

Hasn't been active in over 2 years, I messaged him a couple of times before and after Christmas.

This comment was posted on the channel 10 months ago "Many of the films on this site infringe people's copyright. We hold the copyright for many of them including I think Westerham Branch. Please contact Screen Archive South East. http://about.brighton.ac.uk/screenarchive/" but sadly the copyright footage is for the small branch line scenes not the footage I am after.

It features on Transport Video Publishing's 'Bulleids in Retrospect', so presumably they hold copyright in first instance as it is from one of their productions, and should know who holds the copyright of the actual footage.

As mentioned elsewhere, the Merchant Navy Locomotive Society are raising funds to complete Clan Line's current overhaul. They have a couple of rather good DVD productions available for sale:
    • David Oldham (OVP) has produced "The Clan Line DVD 2006 - 2015", which is available from the MNLPS web-site now.
    • My own humble effort is called "Steam Age Pictures: Clan Line 2007 - 2015". The society has a stock of DVDs (2 disc set, standard definition) which I think they are selling for £15 (though it's not listed on the web-site yet), or you can order it on 2 Blu-ray discs (high definition) from me for £22.50 incl p&p. See my web-site (link in signature) for details... All proceeds will go to MNLPS, whichever format you order.

Saw a rebuilt Bulleid on a low-loader yesterday on the A31 heading east. Didn't have a chance to catch the number. Does anyone know anything further? Thanks

Eddystone has left Swanage now heading to Buckfastleigh, was it her? Although that's heading west.

I don't think it was Braunton as it has only recently been restored and repainted and the engine I passed yesterday looked, shall we say, a little tired. Adam is probably right. It was almost certainly Eddystone although there's nothing about this move on the SLL website.

Maybe it was taking a circuituous route to Buckfastleigh to avoid steep gradients or low bridges. The A35 west of Dorchester may be quicker and more direct if you're going by car, but I think a low-loader with 90+ tons of steam loco could have some fun and games with the hills and tight curves on that road.
