Tornado on its regular run. Filmed here at Stroude, should have been a clip from West Byfleet on it as well, but the dickweed cameraman forgot to press the record button.
You just can't get the staff these days.

 

Ah Tornado. The engine that used to be quite famous! Barely a soul out for it today.

Footage of Tornado out and about today, along with a clip of Scotsman on Wedneaday. Locations included are Hackhurst Farm, Worplesdon and Chilworth.

 

One of mine from Victoria, departed alone while the 67 sat at the buffers, made for an impressive departure, thats for sure! Is it a new thing DBC are trying where they don't bank trains to Grosvenor Bridge or was it just a one off does anyone know?

You have to say that she's almost as good as, and a very satisfactory stand-in for 35028

 

Probably why MNLPS chose it as an understudy.

 

A great picture. But I have to ask where you were standing to take it, I don't recognise the vantage point and I thought I knew most of them at Victoria.

Thanks, I must try that viewpoint. But don't you get moved on by the Boys in Blue for putting a ladder up against the wall?

 

I've never had problems, but maybe I've just got lucky...although on Wednesday when Flying Scotsman was there people were standing on bins to see over the wall and no one got told off to my knowledge, though I was on Ebury Bridge when it left so I can't say for sure

 

There's no reason to be told off its not against any law to look over a bridge parapet.
