I was told at the Vale of Rheidol Steam Gala last September that Nesta and Cegin would be back here within six months. I didn't know whether to believe him...

According to UKLocos the pair arrived at Statfold on 27/4 (so could tie in with the May date) and only 'Cegin' will be remaining at Statfold with 'Nesta' immediately sent off to a new owner.

It will be so nice to see them again. We ought to be so grateful that there are people out there with the money and enthusiasm to repatriate these engines for the rest of us to enjoy. I don't know who they are in this case, but, whoever you are, I take my hat off to you.

According to the Railway Magazine, the new owner, one Rob Gambrill, has moved her to his private workshops for restoration.

I've just googled Rob Gambrill and found that he's the secretary of the Phyllis Rampton Trust - at least, he was in 2010 which is when the article is dated.

In 2013 he was quoted in Heritage Railway as being from the Vale of Rheidol Railway.

Yes Rob is involved in the Rampton Trust and so turns up in connection to the Rheidol for time to time and is also involved at Holycombe, visiting the FR with Jerry M during that memorable time 8 years ago!

Announced this morning that 'Nesta' has been sold to the Richmond Light Railway and is to be restored to steam at Boston Lodge, with great care being taken to conserve as much as possible.
