    Looks like this has been hit hard by the floods this weekend. A friend who works there posted this to Facebook. I don't really have any more to add but it's a great little railway and a shame to see this happen.

    I saw some of the photos on FB, hope it isn't too bad once the water subsides. It depends if there was any fast flowing water that has scoured the surface as it went through.

    Not too far away at Middlewood, the Buxton line is currently shut due to floods washing away the trackbed there.

    I think the sheds are at the same level as the track (down an incline and below the land around it) so I'm not hopeful. The whole place is a mess, so it's not just the trains that will be damaged, but we all have our own pre-occupations.

    News report tonight suggested that the damage will take 3 weeks to clear; if further rainfall / floods then increase accordingly.

    Its also someone's business and a garden centre so could be a lot of stock damaged.
