    As 6201 was moving out of the station siding at Derby on Friday it came to a stand with the cab just past the exit signal and there was to-and froing on the footplate, someone said there was an injector prpblerm.
    ;
    Still in the siding adjacent to Wyvern House at 14.00 today.

    Went through about 9.35 this morning, heading from Crewe to Newark to pick up today's White Rose tour.

    Royal Scot + DBC Diesel. There is a DL path to the NRM fron Doncaster Belmont arriving shortly before the Scot is scheduled to leave. Then there is a light DL leaving Wymondham after the Scot arrives there, back to Doncaster Belmont. So you can draw your own conclusions from that, but I think the Scot will be in light steam behind a DL.

    An LE movement is about getting the steam loco from one place to another. not giving a photo opportunity, so if operational reasons dictate a diesel in the consist then so be it.

    Yes, the dl is there for operational reasons. DBCargo normally roster driver, fireman and MP Inspector for steam workings. If it is dl hauling a steam loco in light steam only a driver for the dl and a caretaker/fireman for the steam loco.
    Therefore the movement with dl haulage saves a member of traincrew.
    Cheers, Neil

    Anyone know whether 6201 has been repaired for its provisional move to Southall today?
