    This is a surprisingly difficult topic! Anyway, anything below 20.3 tonnes (note it's metric, not Imperial) is RA6 on NR. A Brit is around 20.5 tonnes, so is in a higher banding.

    Thanks, I thought I wasn't dreaming. Looks like we'll be sticking with VT again in the future - only booked this one for my daughter and friends as she lives in Sheff.

    Where are we with 44932 and 45212? Presumably they would have been OK going up Bempton.

    I seem to remember the owner of 45212 saying on here that the engine would be DH on the January CME should 60103 not be ready,so we may have to get Diana Ross out again

    Seemed to lose over 10 minutes between Hazel Grove and Chinley. It was struggling through Bugsworth, sounding low on steam to me.

    Footage of 45690 heading the ECS past Balshaw Lane Junction this morning then making heavy weather of the climb past New Mills South Junction.

    Load 11. Cruised it all the way from Sheff and back to York. No dramas on the 1/150 banks. Clearly the Vale of York is Jubilee country. Now awaiting box at Milford.
