Dartmouth Steam Railway 'Kingsbeer' Festival. 15th - 17th July

Between the 15th and 17th July the Dartmouth Steam Railway will be hosting its 3rd annual beer festival on the quay at Kingswear with the festival being renamed 'Kingsbeer Festival'.

There will be 60+ beers and ciders on offer to try along with live music and bbq. The festival runs between:
6pm - 11pm Friday
12pm - 11pm Saturday
12pm - 6pm Sunday.

Over the Friday and Saturday it is expected to have visitors 5542 and 7820 Dinmore Manor in steam hauling the regular service trains. Over the two evenings Class 25 D7535 will be hauling the three evening trips. It is also expected that D7535 will haul a return trip during the day on Saturday to coincide with the visit of UKrailtours 'The Heard of Wilderbeeste' railtour behind four 73s from London. (1415 Paignton - Kingswear and 1545 Kingswear - Paignton).

On Sunday 5542 and 7820 will double head for most of the day.

Rover tickets are available for each day at £20 per adult with free entry to the beer festival with a valid on the day train ticket.

Are the 73s working all the way to kingswear

 

Sadly not, just to Paignton. Passengers will be able to transfer to Queens Park station to board D7535 for a return trip to Kingswear and a small amount of time at the beer festival. (Trip on the DSR trip is additional to UKrailtours and a return ticket will need to be purchased at Paignton).
