Any possibility of any rare wsr track that could be travelled over.

Would love to travel on the Norton Triangle

If they can't be bothered to shunt coaches to the right end of the train, why would they add a couple vans to a train.
Theres no will to do it,

I mean theres a tough choice on the next running day of 1010, do that and be miles away from it again or go do 1015 on the mainline.

As you have now been repeatedly told, the staff at Bishops Lydeard on the day you wanted to be directly behind D1010 had to make a choice between completing the shunting plan after a difficulty had been experienced (which would have meant the train running 20 plus minutes late on a busy day) or simplifying the shunt and getting the train out on time but with the shareholders coaches at the Minehead end of the train.

Comments like 'can't be bothered', especially when the circumstances have been explained to you are childish, and disrespectful of hard working volunteers.

Funny that, there is a PMV in the final stages of restoration at Bishops Lydeard for just that purpose.

Given your attitude, best to go main line, I think. Heaven help us if someone spilled your coffee...:)

Your views are welcome, but the way your posts come across to me is you don't send them directly to the people who matter, and you seem to assume that those people are therefore not taking them on board, and that your views are the only correct ones ones and must be implemented ASAP.

Let me help you with your choice - do you want an enjoyable day with D1015 on the mainline where nothing will go wrong and you will have nothing to moan about, or do you want a thoroughly miserable day with D1010 on the WSR where nothing will go right and no-one will take any notice of your complaints? My bet is that because you are such a masochist and really enjoy getting annoyed at the way the WSR does things that you will do the latter!

Well there are two ways of looking at it with D1015 you might be in the right coach, but you will have to stay seated all the time with the window vents open if you are lucky, or with D1010 where you might in the wrong coach, but you can stand up and stick your head out of a window if you want to, to get the engine noise.

How many more time do you have to be told that it was an operational problem and not because of any lack of will to do it? If the shunt had been to the rear as originally planned this would have delayed the scheduled departure by around twenty minutes. In which case you would no doubt have been moaning about the "inefficiency" that caused the delay. YABCU!

Sorry if I'm missing something, but is this shareholders in the loco they were travelling? In which case I'd have thought they've got a fairly good excuse for having the best seats or coach, surely?

I'm a little confused here. Your post from 25th June mentions the fact that the WSR ruined the enjoyment of your day because you were ''3 coaches away from the loco and the noise''.

How could your day have possibly been ruined when you took the following photograph on the return to BL and added it to your photographic website.
    https://www.flickr.com/photos/tguppy37401/27303767274/

Any other person would have been very pleased to ride in the first coach behind the Western and take such a pleasant photograph.

I genuinely believe that you enjoy moaning for the sake of it. :( <BJ>

Good to see the track being laid yesterday alongside the cattle dock at Stogumber station. There is no truth in the rumour that this is the start of a new passing loop with the signals and points controlled from a shed in RW's garden..:)

Yes this is an encouraging step in recreating the cattle dock. Hopefully re-instatement of the railings and perhaps even a cattle wagon will follow in due course.

It is also good to see the repairs to the lower car park at BL are now complete. This makes a big difference in appearance and for those using the disabled parking area much easier, and safer, than before. What we need now is for Taunton Deane Borough Council to give the toilet block a long overdue coat of paint. It does not create a good first impression with visitors. This is in strong contrast to the superb appearance of the station itself.
