RTC have now issued basic timings for the tour that include the return leg. <BJ>

Strange, why the secrecy regarding the full return working timings ?

Minehead depart 17:15, Paddington arrive after 23:00. Where's it going via ?..............Thurso ?

Unlikely. The WSR Class 47 D1661 is booked to work the 11:05 Bishops Lydeard-Minehead.
Also 53808 now replaces 6960 on the WSR as 6960 has failed a FTR today (Fri).

Yeah but it might be a different Brush, ie it could be the trains ECS loco just left hanging on the rear all day

 

Reports on Facebook said that the Scot apparently had a TPWS fault whilst working the ECS to Southall, hopefully this should be a quick fix in time for tomorrows trip

 

Got the tickets and the information RTC sent, load is expected to be 10 coaches with 46115 confirmed (!) and a WSR locomotive taking the WSR sections (which would be 53808)

 

The return times are in the system, but for some reason RTT is not finding them ! Full details are available at uksteam.info.

 

Here was 53808 yesterday evening coming off the triangle at Norton Fitzwarren having been turned for her railtour duties today.

Can one of those lucky folk on the railtour post a photo of the train at Paddington?

Hmm, 15 mins after supposed departure of the LE move back to Southall for the minder and no evidence of it leaving.
Anybody able to confirm?

 

Report from gen group suggests 37706 has been left on the rear.

 

37706 is supposed to be working through to Minehead on the rear.

Why?

 

Who said in a post a few weeks ago that WCRC supports mainline steam? They certainly don't show that in the South. Yesterday was ridiculous, sending 34052 down to Bristol to be shoved back by a '37. I'd love to see the justification for it and why the ORR and NR are allowing it.

 

Perhaps because the reliability of 46115 is suspect ? It failed with TPWS problems on Thursday.
