Some of the desire to have a longer trains with more bums on seats, may be driven by the higher than average hire fees for 60103.
    Just a thought.

The purpose of the recommendations seemed to be establishing a plan with conservation and longevity at its core.
The likely capability of the loco once operational was surely well understood by those authoring the report?

Quite so and I've yet to see a video of 60103 being what I would consider to be fully extended.

That was the crux of the recommendations ie to avoid the loco being "fully extended".

And I doubt an extra carriage would require her to be fully extended.

Through Corbridge a few minutes late. As before, no box on the back. Photos to follow.

So an extra coach added and no diesel, do you want to rethink your above post and admit you were wrong in your hasty assumption regarding grabbing money and sacrificing authenticity, and selling a steam tour knowing it's going to be pushed around all day.

Any time that you stop being an apologist for RTC and WCRC where you have a vested interest as someone who works for them BUT when challenged claims to have no knowledge.

Given the information available at the time I made my comments, then the post was legitimate. I do not have your conflict of interest being associated with the organisers. If you were so well informed and close to the people you work for you could have put us right in a trice. You didn't!

That said I am really delighted for the paying customers who have had pure steam.

Delighted to see it box free, it is probably something I will suggest we give a go.

In light of last weeks performance, and, I am in no doubt, consultation with IR, another coach looks to be well within the loco's limits.

That said everybody is a winner, still if it was going over S&C, this would not have happened.

Good enough for me. I will see if I can get a couple of seats.

The 'information' you had was nothing but guesses and assumptions, nothing concrete, yet you still came to a conclusion based on this, wrong as it turned out.
People pass adverse comments on RTC and WCRC, but no one is allowed to defend them, sounds very democratic to me.
I claim to have no knowledge because I am an unpaid volunteer and as such am not party to the sort of information you crave. But since you don't want to believe that then tough.
