The extra diesel trains on Saturday 30 July (also Saturday 6 August) will be D6515 and the DMU; D6515 operating the 18:40, 20:00 and 22:25 departures from Swanage, and the DMU operating the 19:20, 20:30, 22:10 and 22:55 departures from Swanage. These are in connection with the fireworks for Swanage Carnival.

On Wednesday 3 July the services will be operating the normal evening DMU timetable, but with a Class 33 and stock rather than the DMU; I have not yet decided whether this will be D6515 or 33111 (or indeed top and tailed!).

30120 will remain facing London for the Peak season timetable, as with 31806 and 34070, due to the position of the water tower at Swanage.

Thank you for your response. I shall make sure I come for a ride

If 33111 was out as well that would make my holiday. I'm down in Corfe for that week only.

The accepted going rate for influencing loco choice is 'pints sterling'... ;-)

Don't believe what he says..... I never get the locos that I want..
TBH my cause might be helped if the loco were actually in working order...

That's because you keep asking me for either 41708 or 30075!

Did the staff get many people moaning about not being able to catch a train to Swanage on those two days?

I still class myself as quite privileged that my first footplate experience at 71B was on 41708...its either peivileged or old these days.

If we're doing fantasy visitors though, I want either 813 back, or Alfred and Judy; either of those options are probably the most fun I have had with my trousers on!

813:Drool::Happy:, now what a gala turn Graham and I had with her as 'spare' engine; roving the railway light engine and double heading with Eddystone (plus Froud-cloud effect choking Trev and Ollie!!).
