Or even what business is it of theirs who owns shares in a particular loco? - that is purely a matter for those involved directly with said loco. The demands for such information from the key board warriors of this forum is breathtakingly arrogant at times.

I didn't see any such demands.

I saw some people question the SR report that Mr Jones-Pratt was the owner of 4936. Since the loco had been owned by a company for many years, I think it was a legitimate question to ask if the the SR report was true and if so when the change occurred.
Mr Jones-Pratt has since clarified the position, end of discussion!

Can I also add my good wishes to @Jonathan Jones Pratt for the restoration of 7027 and the overhaul of 4936

Also it's big news when a loco changes hands until Mr Jones Pratt confirmed he had taken on 4936 I don't think any of us knew! Certainly I thought 'Have Steam Railway got it wrong?' Which let's face it wouldn't be the first time would it?

@Jonathan Jones Pratt - Thanks for this Jonathan, and welcome to Nat.Pres. It sounds as though you intend to "do right" by both locos, so the very best of luck to you. I hope you are successful in keeping the existing team of Kinlet Hall supporters together, and in recruiting new people. Not all of us will "follow" your sites regularly, so please post updates here when there's news. All you need to say is something like "Overhaul progress update at <web-page>" or "Tube and stay appeal launched. Sign up at <web-page>" and give the links. That will help to bring extra traffic to your web site.

Apart from pulling it apart, I wonder if anything worthwhile has been done on the loco in the past 40-odd years to help its eventual restoration.

Thornbury Castle at it's last shed, just down the road from me. Picture is 1964 and already withdrawn I think

Yes and no. If it is a private group ok, but when it is a limited liability company registered at Companies House with the advantages that brings, it also puts ownership etc into the public domain.

7027 should have left Rowsley this evening.

    Not quite Dave.

Loaded up this morning, might even make an appearance on the local news this evening as she returns home.

Thanks Paul, and I expect they'll have a separate trip for the other bits, cab etc.

I have seen a suggestion that the old girl might be passing Thornbury Castle on her way to her new home?

The gentleman who owns her has posted a couple of videos of her arriving at her new. Great to see her undercover now.

Apologies I've had a busy weekend, otherwise I would've updated my earlier post.

The owner updated plans when it was established that making the whole journey last Friday was a bit ambitious, so a weekend stop in Brum was made before completing the journey to its new home. Now safely tucked up in undercover accommodation awaiting the next step of the restoration journey.

If anyone's interested in having a closer look at 7027 in her new home, there's an open day on the 11th September. Further details can be found here http://www.crosvillemotorservices.c...steam-loco-to-be-displayed-at-crosville-rally

Out of curiosity, all the recent photos I've seen show just frames, driving wheels and boiler. How much else exists - for example, is there a tender? Front bogie or bogie wheels?
