    So how is this working? Steam Crewe - Carlisle - carnforth? Or just attach at carnforth?

    That's a rather cynical post, imo. 46115 was promised from Crewe by the RTC. It looks as though WCRC has turned it into something workable for the crew(s) and loco. Nothing new there then. Preston - Carlisle - Carnforth makes sense.
