Are your little grey cells feeling moribund?
Need an antidote to endless Olympics on the gogglebox?.
Need an excuse to put off mowing the lawn?

By the way partial occupation also counts as does closed but extant narrow gauge lines.

    Obvious: Kirklees Light Railway.
Moderately obscure: Final few yards of the Festiniog Railway (into Blaenau Ffestiniog).
Technically: All of the Ravenglass below Murthwaite (first 3', then 15", then 15" and standard dual gauge, then back to just 15").

Wasn't the Teifi Valley originally Broad Gauge (7ft) before becoming standard gauge? Or am I thinking of Launceston?

It's only a guess but what about that NG line next to the GWR at Toddington? And is there still similarly a NG line at the Midland Railway Centre? (And can we count the old 15" gauge line which was at Carnforth).
No idea which of these are on actual trackbeds as opposed to just alongside.

Yes, found out that the Teifi Valley was indeed converted from broad to standard gauge and is now narrow gauge - I always thought there was one...

No - the line that TVR occupies was built by GWR after BG days.

The TVR line was built by the broad guage Carmarthen and Cardigan Railway in stages in the 1860s. It was taken over by the GWR in the 1880s.

Err the reply was to Gareth's comment about Launceston having been possibly broad gauge. :)

I take that back. The bit the TVR occupies is on the GWR's later extension to Newcastle Emlyn, so would never have been broad guage.

Speaking of the original question - there is still at least one more line out there that nobody has mentioned.
