Beer cyder and whisky man. The SVR on train buffets stock many libations and being on duty cant touch a drop. Do the WSR buffets carry such stocks? Just to furthur temptation the brake is usually stopped just outside the Railwaymans in Bridgnorth

BY THE BY SWMBO used to do ty chi and the group she was in organised a group meeting just after dawn at Stonehenge. Cross the palms of EH with silver, well dosh. and you are allowed inside the stones for an hour. . Even I will admit there was a peculiar feeling being inside the circle. They moved on to Avebury but I was not moved there as I was at the henge

The WSR buffet cars are well stocked with a good selection like the SVR. The Quantock ales brewed a stones throw from BL are particularly good.

You should sample the Quantock Ale especially brewed to celebrate the WSR being reopened for forty years. Only available on the WSR and from the brewery shop.

Then the number 28 takes you to BL

I find it a little sweet but not as rounded as a sherried speyside.
What that's got to do with WSR operations I'm not sure of though!

It's been done on a geographical basis across the UK. So once they have decided on the South Devon Railway, and why not, that's it for somewhere central ish in the West Country.

  18. As soon as I get the roster spreadsheet I will update the roster page on wsr.org.uk

  19. (the quoted post came from the WSRA thread but this discussion seems more relevant here)

Useful observation and a useful summary, thanks. We hope you do return very soon.

As well as the full line Rover ticket, there is (and always has been) the full range of singles and returns between each of the ten stations. Add to that the Local Residents discount card. The Railway has always been very aware of the use of its services.

BTW read more about the 1978 "Blizzard Specials"
