Not normal practice to turn the stock at Salop. It is hauled into (what was) Coton Hill Yard and recovered from there for the return journey. Loco is turned on the triangle to the South of the station.

OTT is showing a loco move around the triangle, going back into Coton TC at 1705. The train is then due out of Coton at 1718 to arrive at P7 at 1723 for a 1731 departure.

Perhaps UK Railtours could use her for some excursions? The trip on Thursday to the SVR with 60163 was superb. And she made it to Bridgnorth without any diesel assistance. The only diesel shove was at Victoria I think (not sure as I joined at Reading) when a Class 67 banked the A1 out of Victoria and then dropped off and stayed in London.

I certainly won't be going anywhere near a SD charter anytime soon.

Going great guns so far didn't detect any pushing from the box as we climbed the sugar loaf and I'm in the second to last coach. Throughly enjoyable so far but then I'm not an expert

Plenty of noise through Wistanstow from Lizzie, the diesel provided minimal assistance at best. A great sight all round.

From first few clips on youtube at Patchway and on Llanvihangel, good to see County of Essex's driver not overdoing things on the back.

Very true. Even the Duchess has a tailgunner up north today. We seriously need a dedicated steam TOC.

My shot of her storming up Llanvihangel Bank powering away from Abergavenny. Enjoy.

Return trip appears to have disappeared between Craven Arms and Ludlow. The Steam Dreams staff as usual for a TOC are blaming network rail.

Nice bit of film - thanks for posting. 47 did not appear to be assisting at all.

Indeed Liam, no messin' from Lizzie and her crew in the Shopshire Hills today despite the overall dullness, a cracking spectacle with attendant heavy metal soundtrack. I look forward to seeing your video in due course, in the meantime some photos:
