    Hello

Are there any surviving photographs of the Festiniog and Blaenau's Manning Wardles, Nipper and Scorcher? Only just discovered that part of the Bala and Festiniog was originally narrow gauge

There are two pictures in "The Welsh Narrow gauge Railway" by J. D. C. A. Prideaux, published by David and Charles in 1976/82. Also a painting in "The Ffestiniog Railway Paintings of Edward Paget Tomlinson" (painting 19).

There's one of No 2 on a passenger train in RCTS Locomotives of the GWR part 3, attributed to Locomotive Publishing Company. Quite likely to the same as one of those in Prideaux' book

Pictures in Boyd's "Narrow Gauge Railways in South Caernarvonshire", one of which does not appear in the Prideaux book; I think James Boyd said he found it behind a picture in a local pub! I'm thinking of buying a couple of the Port Wynnstay F & B coaches so must buy the EPT book myself.
If you're interested I think it was Don Boreham who modelled one of the locos - not sure of the scale, 7mm or 16mm possibly - it appeared on the front cover of "Model Railways" in the late 70s; I have a copy buried somewhere!

Amazing - thank you as always chaps. They have something of a Fletcher Jennings look to them, albeit with a distinctive Manning Wardle vibe

I think some one said years ago they might build a new one to visit all the different 2ft gauge lines around the UK, its the sort of thing I could imagine Statfold Barn Railway building to be honest.

Just found a line drawing of it in a book called the locomotives built by Manning Wardle and Co, a Century locoprints book on a technical level I have it they would have been able to have a TE of around 4,500lb at 75%

In case you're still interested, the copy of Model Railways with Don Boreham's 16mm scale model is currently on eBay:
