Two from Cheshire, a short break in the rain at Helsby before a torrential downpour which had cleared to weak sunshine at Frodsham by the time the train returned.

 

01/10/2016 - LMS Jubilee - 45690 "Leander" on "The Lune Rivers Trust" excursion returning from Chester to Carnforth via Hellifield, crossing Whalley Arches in the fading light.

 

Great performance from 45690 yesterday ! I wonder whether WCR think that 45690 is the more stronger of the Jubilee's, as this is the second time this year that Leander has been let out on it's own with load 11 over heavily graded routes ? Hope you enjoy my coverage

 

Could be that being an in-house WC operation there is more latitude with operational control?
