Isn't the joke wearing a bit thin now? It would seem that he's splashed out a bit of cash to get the project he wanted, lets respect him for doing that - I'd be willing to bet that not all his critics can say the same -and leave him to get on with it.

Fair point, but equally owning an item of stock is not in itself proof of credibility! We all know of plenty of items sat around still waiting.

Well how about giving him the benefit of doubt. Hopefully his next Facebook pages will document his progress on this project. How about it Stuart?

Whilst I admire your optimism , Stuart's track record does not inspire either confidence or optimism. of course being older and wiser Stuart may be a reformed character

that's because crowdfunding finished on 28th and I used it mainly so I could bring all my money together in one account which I did

the wagon will have modual boxes on it so you can swap them to what you need to use the wagon for at each time of use.

for all different uses and the railway has told me not to tell anyone what railway it is going to and the chassis came up for sale at the right price.

Confidentiality respected, but your other answers beg more questions than they answer.

    However, I wish you luck.

Overloading is a strong possibility too as the original was only configured for light passenger use.
According to a quick web search, an LMS Saloon has a Tare of approx 31 tons. Knock off say 5-6 tons per bogie & 8-10 for the chassis & undergubbins that leaves a maximum of 10 tons* for an evenly distributed load (including the 'modules').

As the original body was destroyed in a fire, I'd also be concerned that the leaf springs **might** have been affected, so would look to have them tested & overhauled as a matter of course.

    Pete S.

*Caveat... At Didcot we reckon a standard 9ft pressed steel to be in excess of 5 tons as the diesel crane can't lift one 'all up' without the overload bell ringing intermittently. The estimate for the rest of the chassis is pure guesswork.
