Has 3814 arrived at Llangollen with a tender? If so which one, as the owner has two, a Churchward 3500 gallon tender and a Collett 4000 gallon tender.

It's only a 4000 gallon tender that's at Llan. No loco as yet. It's coming along. The frames are in the shed receiving work at the moment.

Is there any news on 3802 and Jennifer? Jennifer looked quite near completion a few months ago, and 3802's boiler must be nearing completion now.

I think Jennifer is in steam this Fri and Saturday for the railways winter warmer gala.

3802 is not back yet though

Jennifer was only a quick fix. A cast iron steam pipe in the smoke box that required repair. As mentioned above it is being used during the winter warmer event this weekend.

Had a quick look at the boiler of 3802 a few weeks back. The firebox repairs looked pretty complete, but there was no front tubeplate in. Still a fair bit to do as it stands now.

Yeah, that's correct. I'm guessing the amended version isn't on the website yet with the office being closed for Xmas / bank holidays. Jennifer does 2 round trips with 3 coaches.

Coming tomorrow! Does anyone know what the prices are? I can't see them on the website.

Think it was £18 for a full line return; £25 for rover (or at least thats what they charged me... £50 for 2)

Footage from a very enjoyable Winter Warmer Gala Friday at Llangollen, including action of the Manor shunting vans at Carrog, DMU drag and Jennifer's first Llangollen passenger train.

Had a report from someone there for both days that rovers were more expensive than advertised on the website.
If that was the case not a good way to attract repeat visitors.

I notice there was a Stanier tender in river siding, I guess it is from 45337. Does anyone know what work might be going on, as I assume the tender is in river siding to save space.

And yes the tender is separated from the loco to save space.

I see from the loco roster on the archive and history website that 3802 is making a return before Christmas! http://www.llangollen-railway.org.uk/locoroster.html I look forward to a trip behind her again! I wonder if she will return in black again, as although I do sometimes find black a bit boring, I have always thought it suits the 2-8-0s very well.
