I think it ran a rail tour that day yes. It attended the event for a few hours before taking it back to London.

 

34092 now updated via the SR Facebook page; as such the published line up currently stands at 34046 (running as 34052), 34070 and 34092.

The fourth loco has been confirmed on Swanages Facebook page, 34092 City of Wells.
I wonder if a merchant navy class will also be present?

 

Fantastic news! I go to most Swanage events anyway, but getting 92 is a real coup! Wow!

 

34053 Sir Keith Park has been officially confirmed. Swanage are still looking for 5 bullieds in action for the gala with some more announcements to make.

 

That's at least 5 if you read the announcement.

The Swanage special event WTT works best with 6 locos. I have my accommodation arranged and would hope to be working my usual Gala late turns in Swanage box.

The closet the gala is getting a MN on the line is me with the 35011 stand ;-)

35006 team has told its members that they will be only leaving the GWSR for one event this year which is the Mid Hants gala in July.

 

Yep, things seem to be coming together nicely. Looking forward to it.

 

This really looks like being a superb event. Another visiting Loco to be announced tomorrow along with more Event details on the Main Swanage website and social media.
I am thinking of driving to this event but wondered if there would be any special public transport connections for the three days?

There are more announcements to come throughout the week!

As far as I'm aware there will be no special bus service running, but the usual bus service from Wareham to Corfe Castle runs regularly.

 

And the bus service from Bournemouth to Swanage via the Sandbanks chain Ferry can be fun in itself.

Looks like the 5th one is soon to be announced ...and I quote "We will be having at LEAST 5 visiting locos".

Now I wonder what it will be.....
