This topic has become almost as predictable and boring as a yet another Livery debate!

Out of curiosity I would be interested to know exactly what percentage of Blaenau are Welsh speakers, and how many of them actually give a Monkey's what the railway is called!

Personally I wish them good luck and hope to have a ride on their railway one day.

Those who make decisions, such as councillors etc, probably would care what it was called ... if someone pointed it out to them.

However you like really, so I won't get miffed about it. :) It's a made up name for use on-line so even I have never heard how it sounds.

Whole books have been written on the possible pronunciation of some of my real names, one writer claiming to be the world's leading authority on the pronunciation of 'r' by speakers of non-Chinese origin.

To get back to the BFf&Th, a unique selling point would be to make the line/part of the line dual gauge: standard and 600mm, so that FfR trains could also use it?

It's nothing like a livery debate, it's educational, thanks to those who actually speak/teach Welsh among our members, we have learned something new today. Some may not give a damn but isn't that just typical of society today, "it doesn't affect me so I couldn't care less",.

Sounds like the language of Yorkshire. Reminds me of Bill Oddy and the tale of Ecky Thump.

There are but I think the Trawsfynydd lot are fortunate to have plenty of shrubberies to hand which would help with track bed clearance....

Now you are on thinner ice than mis-mutating Welsh!
    1. It's Bill Oddie
    2. He is from Rochdale - and that is in Lancashire!
So you've managed to upset people from Bridlington to Blackpool! ;)

Thank you I stand corrected. I've been in Central Asia for many years and was relying on memories of watching the Goodies on BBC some time around 1980.
