LE Movements, ECS and Test Runs 2017

I wonder why it's necessary to leave the depot as early as 0228 when the departure from Carnforth isn't until 0423.

 

Because it takes around an hour to get the loco from Carnforth WCRC to Carnforth NR due to the interface procedures operated by both parties.

Not Uk worthy but Norfolk and Western 611 is doing an Early January Move next week according to Trains Magazine.

 

611 went from Roanoke to Spencer last Friday January 6. This is in preparation for a April and May excursion schedule.

No idea, and despite northerns best efforts in cancelling my connection after spending 20+ minutes running class 153s into each other at every greater velocity and them failing to couple properly, I had left Lancaster 10 mins before it passed.

 

Diesel hauled (57316 & 57601). No sign of 45231. AN

I see that RTT has a path from Castleton Hopwood Gf to Carnforth Steamtown on the morning of 21 Feb. I also note that Ian Riley (on The Works) states that 45212 is currently on test at Bury. Is this the mainline test for 45212 or something completely different?

 

Could well be the LE test run prior to a loaded one round the circuit later same day? Could enter the frame for the BSE with 76084 on 25th?

Tornado passed Offord , south of Huntingdon, in full sun at 14.31 .

 

No sign yet of consist leaving Belmont North Yard. Should have left at 1923.
