45293 has a tender according to their restoration blog back in 2004/05
There is a picture of 45163 at Hull Dairycoates alongside 42859 in 1987 showing that they both had tenders, so one would assume that the tender was bought with the loco when it moved to the CVR

Is this the most nomadic unrestored loco to come out of Barry? This will be at least the four location it has been at: NYMR, Brightlingsea, Crewe and now ELR. Not sure if it was at the CVR as it was once supposed to be going there.

Sorry wrong, it's definitely at the east lancs now. Progressing rather rapidly & they've apparently already completed the frames & associated gubbins.

Just needs a tender now & supposedly from a footplate crew member I know at bury the boiler is about 6 months off. Staying with us as a resident as agreed with the family who own it.

Note that your profile advises that you don't currently volunteer & would suggest that from a far more reliable source there is still quite a lot to do before the loco returns to traffic, not least the actual building of a tender and a formal running agreement with the ELR, let alone the return of the boiler which is still at Crewe.

Was it? 92207 was at the ELR for many years but I don't remember 92134 ever being there.

I believe there is an agreement to borrow the tender from the now out of traffic standard 5 at Butterley as a temporary measure

Not any more although until fairly recently this apparently was the preferred option.

To help you with your spaceship identity problems, 92134 has a single chimney, unique amongst the survivors. You may be confused about the rest but never 92134.:)

Well, you'll just have to do what we used to do going round workshops with stripped down locos and look for the number stamped on the axle ends! Where there's a will, there's a way.

Steve, when I was at the MHR working on the Jinty there. I made a list of all the numbers stamped in the axles.
    44 separate numbers.
The theory may hold true for NCB etc. But seems unlikely for BR.

It always was a relative thing when going round the works where everything was stripped down. When confronted with a set of frames with no obvious identifier the stamping of parts was your only clue. It was a question eliminating any over stamping if there were any anomalies and reaching a consensus amongst those traipsing round. Memories.
It also happened on industrial locos where commonality of parts existed. One I'm familiar with is Hawthorn Leslie 3860, owned by the Middleton Railway. However, most bits, including the frames, are from HL3717 but anyone from the Quainton Railway will tell you that they own 3717. I think their's is probably 3715, which the Colne Valley claim to have. At the end of the day, though, it's only a number.
