Definite shades of the 3-hour expresses with these shots. Excellent results all round and great to see No.9 back where she belongs. :)

.....and if he says no, don't forget that you've got a superb pacific of your own -another "Number Nine" which needs rather a lot doing to it (including a new tender) but which some of us are very much looking forward to seeing in action one of these days!:)

Looks like number 9 on its way 1142 (37L) from Carnforth. Should be on time from Hellifield though, long layover there.

Any info on the route the K1 will take tomorrow from Carnforth to Thornton Jn? Looks like the WCML is shut.

Good question. WCML shut from around 0600 tomorrow. Carnforth-Grange shut. Looks like Carnforth-Bentham also shut. Didcot to Mossend seems to be the last northbound train on the WCML. The phrase early doors comes to mind.

Edit-- departed 0428 from Carnforth, arrived Carstairs 0726.
