I understand the reason for these restriction is NR claim not to have recieved 'electronic' measurements for the A3, hence the precautionery 30mph at a lot of platforms.

 

Does anyone know if these tours are going from/to Minehead? According to wsr.org Raveningham Hall is scheduled for charter work. If so, what are the times on the WSR? Thanks.

No. Staying at the WSR, then to Salisbury next Wednesday 31st.

 

A very successful day yesterday for Steam Dreams and 60103 Flying Scotsman.

I spoke to quite a few passengers that had travelled on the morning tour and all were very positive about the Steam Dreams and WSR operations.

The train looked superb with it's immaculate set of coaches. Both trains ran in wall to wall sunshine.

Finally well done to Steam Dreams for allowing the train to run without the dreaded diesel at the rear. The only class 47 to run yesterday was a special train to convey charter passengers to drop off points between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead. <BJ>
