A great pity, but C&PR have handled it very well. Notification e-mail yesterday, credit card refund today.
They have set an example many retail companies cannot approach ......

    Cheers, Neil

Yet another cockup by NR. No doubt if it was FS a solution would have been found. I do feel sorry for the CP&PR who are no presumably out of pocket.

I can only apologise for this from the Great Western Society side of things.
Although the route through Culham was an un-charted one for the SRM and barred now NR have looked at it, it's even more frustrating that the route we used to get to Brentford three years ago is now also barred all lines through Tilehurst due to gauging.
We're still working on a resolution but only being a small operator that isn't a TOC with a massive vehicle fleet,..... need I say more.
    We're trying our hardest.

Yes, it must be absolutely gutting for the CP&PR having put that much effort in.
Hopefully at least a proportion of those which were going to attend for the railmotor will still pay a visit as I guess it will have hit them financially to some degree.
I'll certainly still see if I can get over there and take a trip.
