That video shows two heads sticking out at one point, one in the support coach and one near the back. Opinions please on the sanity of the one who can be seen at about the 46 second point not merely sticking his head out but holding what appears to be a notebook computer?

I believe the guy with the iPad was spoken to. Support coach staff are beyond the remit of the stewards..

I agree, "notebook man" is a prize idiot with not just his head but shoulders also out of the window, and man in support coach should,of all people, know better. These things are a real shame as my very recent experience of both RTC and Tornado trips has been that people have been very good about obeying the rules. If people don't comply, presumably it will be "you will stay in your seat", VT style on all trips?

I note on another forum that on last weekend's Class 40 diesel trip, at least 1 person had to be ejected from the train for persistent window-hanging after a warning.

Maybe that should be widely publicised, to demonstrate that the threat to eject offenders is not empty words.

Yes "notebook man" is a prize idiot but I suspect that he was a member of the public rather than an enthusiast who would probably have more specialist equipment. From my experience stewarding, non enthusiasts who have been told but keep doing it anyway are often the worse offenders. Trouble is they are most of the market these days. Of course there is still the occasional enthusiast, two white areas where the goggles have been, who claims that they have only been "standing by the window" and unless you see them you can not prove anything else. They all of course run the risk of spoiling it for everyone.

I take it folk can't film from a droplight with the camera out of the window then as a lot still seem to do said or am I wrong in saying that .

Looks good to go yes, but is the 8F on the front? We shall see soon no doubt. It's probably me (or the person who highlighted it to me) over thinking it!

Yeh, it wasn't 2 late at Low House either as RTT says. More like 6 to 8 late. Sounds like it's taking it easy. Seemed to be going well at Armathwaite.

Gained 1 minute on northbound so must have been going fast enough. Probably taking it easy heading south, don't forget there is 35 minutes to change locos there, it took less than 15 minutes last week so plenty left for recovery.

It did - I saw it on the webcam - and it seems to have lost time all the way. 55 late into Hellifield loop.
