Ah yes I see it now. I maybe missed it because it wasn't 60103 on the thumbnail.

Well, what fun was had today. Pootled up to Bingley to watch Scotsman from the 3 rise which was a success although an hour later than planned. Then it was off to Ribblehead to catch it over the iconic viaduct, which didn't happen due to Scotsman declining a water stop prior to Appleby. Darn!
Left the choice of either north of Kirby Stephen or Ribblehead to the weather around 4.30 for the return, and chose Ribblehead. This turned out to be a good choice as the weather really closed in and the pub was open. The gloom lifted, though the rain didn't stop, just as Scotsman appeared and crossed the viaduct. So an iconic engine on an iconic viaduct under a moody sky - wonderful

This 13 coaches instead of 11 business sounds like the stock has been prepared for the Monday Dalesman and somehow there been a mixup that it would be used on the Waverley, but needed two less coaches.

This led to the delay this morning on the Dalesman as some of the stock needed watering. Time lost however has now been recovered.

It's not often that you can pick out the craggy features of Pen-y-Ghent but they were prominent today as LNE A3 Class 4-6-2 No. 60103 'Flying Scotsman' races
across the River Ribble on the approach to Helwith Bridge with the return leg of 'The Waverley' rail tour to York

My shot from today is at Barkston Ash this morning:

Near Colton Junction this morning. I took a chance with the westerly wind, and just about got away with it.

    Hi all,

I was onboard the tour this last Sunday but must confess to not finding out the names of our fireman on the day. Can someone possibly let me know?
I know conditions were pretty overcast but a little surprised to find only a couple of pics posted on here, so again a bit of a personal plea would anybody be so kind to post a couple more (or send as a PM) as my boy would love to see a few more.

Again as always a big thank you to all those who have and do post their own pictures on here, it's all part of what makes this forum the success that it is - I'll post a few of mine from the day shortly.

    Thanks everyone
