Earlier today whist walking along the sea front i saw a white twin engined heavy aeroplane doing holding maneuvers before flying off in the direction of Eastbourne from what i saw it looked to be a high wing type, the only aircraft i can think of is a Catalina, but i thought there was none flying here in the UK,
If anyone was at the show can they confirm was a catalina on the programe for today? also i saw a hurricane chasing a modern light twin, again it looked like someone may have been filming before its display slot .
some of the aircraft fly inbound and return along the coast, so far i have seen the strikemaster, both days, and what looked and sounded like a griffon engined spitfire yesterday .

There is a flying Catalina in the UK, I saw it at Duxford 3 years ago! It's a bit of a beast!

A great uncle of mine never came back in a Catalina.
