    If you look here:
    http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org/se/CarriageInfo.asp?Ref=3557
And scroll down you can see how the original is being displayed in the Warner Bros studio tour at Leavesden (near Watford).
OK, I was photographing the carriage, and VCT have cropped it a bit, but you can still see 5972 in that photo (just). I don't have the photo of the other end to hand, but the loco has wisps of steam coming out of its chimney and looks for all the world like it has just arrived at Platform 9 3/4. It's a pretty good display.
I was quite amused at the number of people queuing to walk through the corridor of a Mk.1 SK. All there is to see inside are a selection of props from the scenes filmed on the trains, with a different film in each compartment. I think that part could have been done better, myself (for example I would have put some mannequins representing scenes from the films) but the whole tour is all about seeing the original props and studios which were used in the film, so I guess that's why they did it that way. It's worth a visit.

I think Heritage Rail were asking themselves the same question ie has 5972 gone abroad, and how have West Coast managed to keep it so quite? Until someone pointed out to transport 100 odd tons of bright red engine without someone seeing it would require Master Potters invisibility cloak! Although I will say it's a very convincing replica I can understand why some people have asked the question.
