There's a modified NSE 50 in the yard at OOC, and a slightly incongruous Ferris wheel…

Has Tornado actually arrived? It was supposed to come straight from "The Easterling" on Monday as a seperate path from Ferme Park, but RTT initially only reported it as far as Willesden Jn High Level, and later showed the schedule as cancelled throughout. Can anyone enlighten?

Apparently the ferris wheel is deliberately there to enable people to take aerial shots of the line up - or at least that's the marketing speil for it!

It will probably work, if it's been well positioned. I'll probably be on it on Saturday getting some photos from up high!

Having bought my tickets ages ago, not overly impressed with the line up.

Go on Simon, how would you improve it then? I'm not one for open days (prefer to travel than see things on static display) but that does look a pretty decent line up to me.

Without getting into fantasy open days I would like to see more locos that represent OOC and it not being a class 50 fest. A class 47, castle, hall and a few others would start to fill the gaps. Don't worry o won't be throwing my ticket away just it could potentially have been more exciting - and I accept that the organisers are cmstrain by what any owner is willing to provide.

I think the amount of 50's there maybe has something to do with how many have mainline certification and what they are bringing with them also an ex OOC engineer who worked for the 50 alliance, (now passed away) having a thing for them so this might have a bearing on why there's so many of them.

We're not talking about the London Eye here folks… I reckon you'd get as good a view in a pair of decent high heels… ;)

Due to engineering work we couldn't get to Old Oak Monday night.
Hopefully moving Tornado tomorrow evening (Friday) from Stew Lane.

Surprised Tyseley didn't run a train to Paddington Saturday for it tbh.

Unfortunately the 14 couldn't get there from Didcot last night due to what seems to be TOPS admin issues. The rest of the lineup looks smashing.
