    I'd forgotten that it goes all the way to Levisham. That's another very nice walk with lots of good photographic vantage points.

    Yes indeed a cracking Gala. The LNERCA did well with their sales stand on Pickering station, with both sales and donations in light of the recent vandal attack. What's more it wouldn't be a Moors' Gala without at least one visiting engine giving up the ghost [pannier 7714] not sure what went wrong. In the circumstances I can do little better than quote the Late Rev. W. Awdry......"Never trust a domeless engine!"....... said a voice from the back of the shed:oops::eek:;). Seriously I hope 7714 didn't go down with anything major.
