    We got close earlier this year - 14P on two consecutive days as part of the Great Britain X Railtour - 34046 (34052) Braunton (Lord Dowding) and 46100 Royal Scot, however I agree, looking forward to seeing some shots from tomorrow's relocation.

    Not good photos from me I regret to say and they were travelling tender first but at least I was very glad to see them both. Very impressive in the flesh rather than in pixels!

    One is weathered and the other is new but it also depends on the coulor of the undercoat, it should be grey but did Carnforth just rub down the black and spray over it?

    Seems strange that they are going back tender first, can't things be turned on the triangle at York? Explains the rather sedate timings though I suppose.

    Chimney first at Leeds , no 9 leading, so presumably chimney first all the way to Castleton.

    Has an MN been hooked up to an A4 before? Trying to think back to the excursions of Nos 22 and 24 on the Southern.

    Assume there has been quite a shunt somewhere as 9 was leading tender first in the photos at York and thus its not just been a case of the locos staying joined and running round the stock.

    Coincidentally I wonder whether there will be more chance in terms of 60007 and Clan Line, saw some photos this Am of them both stabled at Marylebone in the 80's so may have run together at some stage?
