RAOTFLOL! As I viewed the post I could only see part of my post. If that was a result of how the system displays it then I appologise unreservedly. However to suggest that I did this deliberately with the intention of deceiving is offensive. The reality is that that you have a deep seated, seriously biased, wholly unreasonable., and totally unsupportable, prejudice against phone cameras. Furthermore your suggestion that all aspects of photography can be easily learnt in a short period of time even by three year old is simply risible. As far your last sentence what on earth is a "railway photo"? More nonsense I am afraid.

My final comment , I've driven Land Rovers modified for off roading , tall tyres that equated to 12.5% greater in circumference , 70 mph on the speedo equalled to 70 mph every time on the GPS

Excellent processing. Now, if you can remove the sign from in front of 53809 .......

..... He obviously installed the 'inappropriate sign' filter I suggested.
I like the 'beeeeeyoooootiful sunset' filter - I gotta get one of them.

These are both very atmospheric and I like them both. But. One last nit to pick; neither shot is quite level, i.e, the verticals aren't vertical.

I note the unprocessed version on WSR.org also has the modern sign removed.

Certainly not Anne , TBH I'm not that fussed about my speed because the Land Rover isn't that quick . I fitted tall tyres along with other modifications to enable me to do my job as Chief Marshal for Thames Valley 4 x 4 Club .

West Somerset Railway - Then and Now #106

    Dunster 1956 / 2017

So now we start a stroll through Dunster station. Here at the eastern end of the single platform looking back along the path from the platform to Sea Lane Crossing where we were yesterday. Not one of the most inspiring photos of the series but interesting to see with all the changes that the two concrete and one bridge rail posts have stood firm through the years.

  18. The 1956 pic shows the curve of the fence (just after the gradient post on the Up side) which reveals the alignment of the one-time siding into the nearby "Ballasto Field" which once hosted the former railway's pebble-winning operation (the pebbles were used for ballast, apparently, but was that for track forming or for use in ships?)

  19. I understand it is privately owned and now due to be returned/restored to its former Mk1 guise under contract at West Somerset Restoration then moved to a railway in the south of England. So it is not going to be a WSR vehicle, it seems.

I usually think that the 'now' image is a great improvement on the 'then' image, but on this occasion.................
