Investing in tangible assets- definitely a "sign" of the times.

The following has been dropping through letter boxes today.

I have been asked to attend as proxy for one shareholder already. If I can perform that service for anyone else, they are welcome to PM me.

(I have redacted some information as the Company Office is also the Company Secretary's personal address.)

What odds will anybody give that the proxy votes will go missing or be declared invalid?

 

I see that I get a special mention in the notice. Last year they appear to have gone missing between being put through the letterbox and landing on the doormat.

This year there will be photographs...

Does the rule that proof of posting by Royal Mail is proof of delivery still apply?

 

Minehead totem went for £750 plus 20 % commission

 

Is there no requirement for 4160 Ltd to re elect one third of directors at an agm?

There is no requirement, and this is not unusual for a small private limited company. The articles of association can be found on the Companies House website.

 

However, it is open for shareholders to propose resolutions to add/ remove directors.

 

There is little chance of that happening when you look at who owns significant shareholding’s and, AFAIK, a 75% majority would be needed to pass such resolutions.

Less than eight years to closure but steam is still in charge and there are no obvious signs of neglect. The shot was taken in August. I was just over 3 months away...

Make sure you keep the negatives..

 

The recipient may say the envelope was empty, was eaten by his dog, caught fire etc. etc.

 

I try to focus on the positives.
