70013 with 5Z72 today. One of the WCRC coaches appears to have acquired some rather unpleasant graffiti since Saturday (not my video).

It would seem looking at RTT that a number of test runs have taken place today from Crewe to Chester with LSL's BR Green 47. The TOC listed as LS so hopefully some positive steps towards the new TOC :)

I must admit i don't mind it too much if a mainline diesel is in a heritage livery ,rather than in modern, or TOC livery, to my somewhat biased eyes, if a diesel is needed to haul a tour and the stock is in heritage livery doesnt it always look better if the dreaded box is in a livery that compliments the stock?
So what would a 67 look like in two tone green ;)

LSL do seem to set very high standards , As regards the Steam fleet they do turn out engines that so far seem to be very reliable and well put together, no obvious large steam leaks;) and as far as i can tell Braunton has been almost as reliable as Clan line , Royal Scot, also seems to be a very reliable engine i would put them on a par with the Riley stable .

Seems like the omens are good for D9000 / 55022 and D9016 now that LSL has been confirmed as their new owner of both locos with with Martin Walker and his current support team retaining their support roles within the new ownership.

This is indeed a very good move, So LSL, wil not just have a very good Steam locomotive stable but also a very interesting and potensially in its own right Diesel fleet, All it needs now is to gain agreement with the Owner of 1010 , to run that, and to obtain a 33and 73 for its 3rd rail routes

Wow! That's good news and a complete surprise. I had no idea that LSL had much interest in diesel traction, although the way the Class 47 has been turned out suggests that they intend to care for it and don't regard it as merely the donkey whose job is to support the steam fleet by moving the ECS from A to B.

I think they intend to be a high class operator, lets assume next years Torbays are operated by LSL, to have either, and or D9016, or the 47 as stand by traction makes sence, and 9016 if it gets a couple of extra torbays its self, either at the less well loaded ends of the season would add a boost to the takings .
