Steam at MOSI in Manchester

With the construction of the Ordsall Chord, steam on the sidings of the Museum of Industry and Science in Manchester can be put into the annals of history and categorized as "Back in the Days".

Here are some pictures of "Planet" running in May 2014, about a year-and-a-half before the, volunteer-run, live steam show ended in January 2016.

Will "Agecroft No. 1" and "Planet" make occasional visits to heritage railways for Galas or specially themed events? Thanks for any infos if somebody knows more about future plans for those two attractive Manchester-based steam locomotives

 

Has MOSI abandoned all steam working now that their sidings are truncated?

They were still running this year so I think the OP is jumping the gun a little.

I think they're still running them, although the ride's about half as long now.

 

Disappointed as I am that the connection has been severed, I would have thought that shuttling backwards and forwards with a few more reversals would compensate for what was a very short ride anyway.
