A very complicated way of getting to Bath - I assumed that it would go down the Berks and Hants via Newbury. Actually quite pleased about it as it will actually cover some track I've never done (Reading to Basingstoke). Looking forward to it! Lets hope they do leave the diesel behind!

 

I've just heard that the STN shows two alternative paths for the ECS from Southall.
One direct for 70013 and an alternative "Q" via Willesden No 7 Jn to reverse if 45212 is used.
DL to assist out of Victoria and then run light engine to Southall. Whether it stays attached if 45212 is anyones guess.

Wouldn't mind having 45212 as I've never seen it, but not with a 12 coach load as that will inevitably mean diesel assistance. Hopefully it will be 70013 and it won't need any help.

Has been sat at Overton for some time service train stuck behind it

Has the water bowser appeared in Overton yet, as there was a last minute change according to the station staff here at Andover to water at Overton instead, so last minute that the water was already waiting at Andover!

 

Any ideas as to when it will be on it's way?
