After a long day which started in the middle of the night and ended with an afternoon firing turn on the lovely Foxcote Manor, I would like to say thank you to the paid and volunteer staff. Without your efforts, I and countless others would not be able to enjoy this wonderful hobby of ours. Whether you do the flowerbeds, empty the bins, print the tickets, perform minor miracles or fill the QB dishwasher, have a terrific Christmas.

    Snifter aka Brian Fraser.

I have, and I make no association with the WSRA problems.

Suffice it to say that, were I in a position to volunteer and considering the WSR, I would be thinking long and hard about what I might be letting myself in for. And that is in full knowledge that every voluntary organisation has more than its fair share of politics.

The sound of grinding sets my teeth on edge. The sense of that grinding, refracted through posts here where I do not know the whole back story, is painful.

I suggest that all involved in such battles, whether their motives be petty or noble, just pause to consider the impression of the railway they love that is left.

Now the season of goodwill is upon us maybe it is time to put the knives in the QB kitchen drawer until the New Year. ;)

And leave them there except when needed for cooking. Otherwise, I fear goose may be on the menu.

In railway terminology, SM usually means station master.

Cant it be attached to a '33' hauled train to provide heating as was done in the early 60's when they were first introduced?

This is actually the new overhead electrically-powered heating system for the QB.
"Star Wars" is Jedi-speak for Steam Warming.
Note the electronic red & green batons for use by the Guards. The blue baton is for Police use only.

I believe the designer worked for a rival catering company.

    Merry Christmas!
